Ana Alfirevic is Professor Em of Pharmacology and Personalised Medicine at the University of Liverpool. She graduated from Zagreb Medical School, Croatia and received a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK. Her research interest is in Pharmacogenetics and Personalised Medicine pertaining to drug safety, specifically drug-induced immune mediated adverse reactions and drug-induced muscle toxicity. In addition, she initiated several pharmacology and systems biology projects in reproductive medicine and pregnancy including the multiomic approach to preterm birth and investigation of aspirin responsiveness in preeclampsia.
